Theory Of Change
India without access to books will never be able to reap the demographic dividend and achieve the GDP growth required to move a large section of the population out of poverty. There is a large section of the population that does not have access to books while many books lie unutilized and idle. India can truly become a participatory democracy and a knowledge-based economy when all its citizens have easy access to books and information and actively enjoy reading. Access to books and reading material, in English and vernacular mediums and absence of active community spaces for reading is a big impediment for citizens and communities to participate, compete and enjoy the benefits of development in the India of 21st century
Vision: Create an ‘enlightened nation’ by igniting a ‘reading revolution’
