A BOX AT HOME THE OPENS WORLD TO ANOTHER

Inculcating reading habits with innovation, in sustainable aluminium boxes and 20 books, is an initiative called Movable Library. It was developed  on the rational  that, ‘a child spends only 6 hours in school  and 18 hours at home. Hence, it is more valuable to provide them books to take home and read with family members.’

This project was also awarded with the ‘Trend Setter’ award by Gujarat Innovation Society.

The main objective of this project is to bring development in speaking, writing skills and meaningful reading among many students. They try to inculcate a habit  of  reading with the constant reinforcement. The noticeable changes include students becoming responsible and full of self confidence. They now participate in various competitions like speeches, essay writing, quiz, various plays, poetry and etc.

IIM Ahmedabad brought the project to light by making the the project participate in ‘3rd International conference on creativity and innovation at grass roots’. Ms. Priti got the opportunity to represent and share her project at different states in India as well as in different countries. Ms. Priti has received ‘best teacher award’ 2017 at state level.
